VCR Video Tape Library
The following videos are available through the North Dakota Geological
Survey. (While we share acronyms, the North Dakota Geological Survey and the
North Dakota Geological Society are different; the former is a state agency
whereas the Society is a non-profit organization of persons interested in
the geology of North Dakota.) These tapes are owned by the North Dakota
Geological Society, but the North Dakota Geological Survey handles the
distribution as a favor to the Society.
Policy: Tapes are available for use by schools, colleges, service
clubs or groups interested in programs dealing with Earth Science or the
solar system. Loan period is 14 days. We have one copy of each Geology tape
and two copies of each NASA tape.
Terms: Tapes may be picked up and returned to the North Dakota
Geological Survey at 1600 E. Interstate Ave., Bismarck, ND 58501 at no
charge. Their telephone number is: (701) 328-8000.
Tapes will be mailed for a fee of $2.50 to cover postage and handling,
plus return postage. Send mail orders to:

The Prize consists of 8 segments based on Daniel Yergin's
best-selling Pulitzer Prize-winning book. 1992. The Prize, narrated
by Donald Sutherland, tells the story of the oil industry. Two segments of
the story are included on each of the four video tapes. Each segment is
about 60 minutes long. The series consists of the following tapes:
